About the WFWPI Virtual Café

Meet Georgia-Li Kim
Georgia-Li Kim is a self-taught artist and art educator based in New Jersey, where she lives with her husband and their two young sons.
Art has long been a source of reflection and calm in Georgia’s life. Her earlier paintings sometimes explored feelings of anxiety and inner struggle, but motherhood gradually transformed both her creative journey and the purpose behind her work. Her art now reflects personal growth, transformation, and the beauty of motherhood.
Georgia teaches multiple forms of art to students in grades 5 through 12, encouraging young people to develop confidence and discover their own creative voices.
Throughout her artistic journey, she has worked with charcoal, gouache, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and oil paint—her favorite medium. Alongside teaching, she regularly creates commissioned artwork and continues to learn through every new piece she creates.

Optional Follow-Along Painting Activity
Georgia will offer a short live painting demonstration during the session. Participants are welcome to watch and learn without preparing any materials.
Those who would like to paint along may prepare the following in advance:
Ultramarine blue oil paint
Cadmium red oil paint
Permanent cadmium yellow oil paint
Titanium white oil paint
Size 2 paintbrush
Oil or acrylic painting paper
Towel or cloth
Gamsol or another suitable artist-grade solvent
Please note: The follow-along activity is entirely optional. Participants without art supplies are warmly encouraged to join, observe Georgia’s demonstration, and ask questions.
