The WFWPI Virtual Café is an informal international learning space where WFWP members and guests share practical knowledge, creative skills, and personal experiences. 

Each session offers a welcoming and conversational environment rather than a formal academic lecture. The Virtual Café aims to make new skills feel approachable and inspire participants to take one simple action they can continue in their own lives.

Meet Georgia-Li Kim 

Georgia-Li Kim is a self-taught artist and art educator based in New Jersey, where she lives with her husband and their two young sons. 

Art has long been a source of reflection and calm in Georgia’s life. Her earlier paintings sometimes explored feelings of anxiety and inner struggle, but motherhood gradually transformed both her creative journey and the purpose behind her work. Her art now reflects personal growth, transformation, and the beauty of motherhood. 

Georgia teaches multiple forms of art to students in grades 5 through 12, encouraging young people to develop confidence and discover their own creative voices. 

Throughout her artistic journey, she has worked with charcoal, gouache, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and oil paint—her favorite medium. Alongside teaching, she regularly creates commissioned artwork and continues to learn through every new piece she creates.

Optional Follow-Along Painting Activity 

Georgia will offer a short live painting demonstration during the session. Participants are welcome to watch and learn without preparing any materials. 

Those who would like to paint along may prepare the following in advance: 

• Ultramarine blue oil paint 

• Cadmium red oil paint 

• Permanent cadmium yellow oil paint 

• Titanium white oil paint 

• Size 2 paintbrush 

• Oil or acrylic painting paper 

• Towel or cloth 

• Gamsol or another suitable artist-grade solvent 

Please note: The follow-along activity is entirely optional. Participants without art supplies are warmly encouraged to join, observe Georgia’s demonstration, and ask questions.

Philippines 

Juvy Delmonte is an Assistant Professor at the Technological University of the Philippines, specializing in Management, Entrepreneurship, and civic leadership education. She is actively engaged in youth development through the National Service Training Program (NSTP), promoting service, responsibility, and nation-building among students. Beyond academia, she contributes to community extension programs, Gender and Development initiatives, and leadership work with the Women’s Federation for World Peace International. As an educator, leader, and mother, she is passionate about empowering young people to become future change makers and believes education is the foundation for service, leadership, and social transformation.
