WFWP Nepal Teej Festival 2022 and WFWPI 30th Anniversary Celebration

On June 4, 2022, WFWP Nepal successfully organized a WFWP 30th Anniversary Celebration and Annual General Meeting at the organization’s hospitality partner, Aloft Hotel Thamel, in Kathmandu, Nepal.


For the opening remarks, WFWP Nepal President, Mrs. Blessie Dhakal, highlighted the role of women in building peace and the work that WFWP Nepal is carrying out to achieve peace. This was followed by the virtual presentation of WFWPI Co-founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. Next, WFWP International President, Dr. Julia Moon, gave her inspirational address live on Zoom.


For congratulatory remarks, the Director of Nepal Republic Media, Mrs. Shova Gyawali applauded the role played by WFWP to promote peace in Nepal and other countries. She mentioned that education, advocacy, partnership, reconciliation and humanitarian service—the core values of WFWP—are keys to build sustainable peace in the world. The Secretary-General of World Humanitarian Drive Nepal, Ms. Janaki Gurung formally closed the program with her closing remarks.


The second part of the program was the Annual General Meeting of WFWP Nepal. Mrs. Nila Shrestha, Secretary General, presented on WFWP Nepal’s Annual Report for the Year 2021 and the Activity Plan for 2022 while the Presentation of WFWP Nepal Financial Report was presented by Mrs. Divine Bhandari, Treasurer of WFWP Nepal. Mrs. Dhakal closed the meeting with her Concluding Remarks. The event reignited the spirits of the beautiful ladies of WFWP.
