WFWP Communications Workshop Successfully Concludes in Sept 2025

A Report from WFWP Korea

The Communications Workshop for facilitators successfully wrapped up the NGO Capacity-building Course in a two-day training at the Seoul Youth Hostel.

Twenty-four participants joined this workshop, which was an engaging 14 hours of theory and practice. It was the final and practical phase of the NGO Capacity-Building Program that focused on learning and applying facilitation techniques to effectively resolve group conflicts.

The September graduates of the program are now eligible to sit for the Level 2 Facilitator Certification Exam. The 2025 NGO Capacity-Building Program was carried out in three steps.

Step 1: Basic Course – Women’s Leadership Academy

Step 2: Advanced Course – UN CSW Capacity-Building Workshop

Step 3: Practical Course – Communication Workshop (Facilitator Training)

Participant Reflections

“I appreciated learning such a useful tool as facilitation, and it was meaningful to share encouragement and positive energy with others.”

“The workshop focused more on practice than lectures, which helped concentration. I realized that the most productive team emerges when leadership qualities are present and everyone’s voice is respected.”

“Since we often hold meetings at the branch level, practicing as a facilitator was practically very helpful. I want to apply this skill in communicating with local residents as well.”

Significance

This workshop went beyond acquiring technical skills. It provided a space to experience leadership that respects every voice and seeks solutions together.

Going forward, the WFWP will continue to provide diverse education and workshops to empower members to exercise their leadership more confidently in the field.
