On May 14, WFWP Malaysia celebrated the Raya Festive Season with the children of Nurul Hasanah Care Home (RKNH) in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. As part of WFWP’s Global Humanitarian Aid Program, food and essential items were donated to the home during the visit.

The founder of RKNH, Mdm Raabah, welcomed the members of WFWP warmly. She explained the purpose of the home, which not only provides shelter for 25 children from broken families but also acts as a charity center to provide food and necessities for very poor families who come knocking on their door.

Deputy President of WFWP, Datin Mimi Maria, thanked RKNH for giving WFWP the opportunity to visit and celebrate Raya with the children and provide assistance with whatever resources available. The children had a really fun and exciting time playing games and fun action songs led by our WFWP members and volunteers. Presents were given to winners as an encouragement for their active participation.

This was followed by an energetic martial arts showdown by Tong-Il Moo Do Malaysia masters, Ms. Annie and Mr. Marvin, who also taught the children several simple exercises for self-defense.

In her closing remarks, the President of WFWP, Lina Cheng thanked all sponsors and volunteers for the generous support in making this event a success and for bringing cheers and love to the children. Mrs. Cheng also presented roses to all the mothers as a token of appreciation in conjunction for Mother’s Day. The celebration concluded with gifts and snacks for all children and a delicious home-cooked lunch, prepared by the residents of the home.
