WFWP New Zealand (NZ) celebrated its 25th anniversary at Parnell Peace Embassy in Auckland on April 7, 2017.

WFWP NZ President Felicity Cairns welcomed everyone and highlighted the success of WFWP worldwide and how proud we can be of the founders, Rev. Dr Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, and all the WFWP members from around the world for their achievements and progress.

Thirty-five women, including 25 WFWP members and 10 guests, attended the beautiful dinner banquet. Rev. Adel Jamati gave blessings on the food.

An inspiring video of the activities of WFWP around the world was shown, offering those in attendance the opportunity to reflect on the hard work and sincere efforts of all the WFWP members.

Ruth Cleaver, first Chairwoman and founding member of WFWP NZ, gave a brief overview of the launch of WFWP in New Zealand and the early years.

Nita Wallace, one of the earliest WFWP members, gave words of encouragement on how WFWP supported her in many ways throughout the years and especially during the ill health of her belated husband and after his passing last year.

Jan Sawada shared her experience at the momentous 1994 Bridge of Peace Ceremony in New York where 500 Japanese women crossed the bridge with women from the USA.

Pauline Jamati, remembered the launch of WFWP in Lebanon.

The celebration concluded with a cake cutting ceremony, followed by a Pacific Island dance performance. Everyone joined in the dancing and enjoyment.
