Will you be our Valentine?
This Valentine's Day, the WFWPI Office for UN Relations in New York is excited to announce the launch of our 2022 Annual Fundraising Campaign-Peace, Women & Environment: Action Toward New Beginnings to support our work in UN advocacy, women leadership and climate action projects.
This "New Beginning" marks a fresh start with new hope and determination. In this year of 2022, our office will continue to realize a world of peace, with our focus on women and the environment.
A Recap of Our Work in 2021
With the generous support of our donors, we were able to host two dynamic webinars with high level leaders, including First Ladies from around the world. These intergenerational webinars served as an inviting space for the younger and elder generations to exchange wisdom and bridge divides.
In the area of raising peace-loving leaders, our office was privileged to take on 10 bright, young women, who contributed their skills and knowledge in the areas of research, media marketing, and fundraising, centering on the feminine leadership paradigm of the heart. In fact, their creativity and drive are what created this fundraising campaign!
In addition, we were able to make great strides in our commitment to empowering women and restoring the environment, by launching our first ever GFGI Auction and with those funds, sponsored 12 environmental projects around the world! From Africa, where nearly 400 families are now able to light up their homes with solar lamps, to Brazil, where clean drinking water was made accessible for 200 families along the Amazon River, your impact has been indispensable.
Our Annual Fundraising Campaign is what allows us to strive for greater impact in ways that were unimaginable as a single individual.
