On March 18, 2023, in Nairobi, Kenya, the Women’s Federation for World Peace Kenya and a partner organization called EzeshaPlus Organization Kenya brought together various groups of women and youth for a 1-day seminar, “Women for Peace and Empowerment,” under the theme, “The Family is the School of Love.”

This seminar was inspired by the desire to partner and network more with a variety of organizations that are working in the grassroots and impacting the families and communities positively. EzeshaPlus Organization Kenya was founded by Mr. Justus Mokaya, a youth leader, and is a kind of organization which engages in educational and vocational programs which nurture the youth to live a better and more fulfilling life.

The seminar participants arrived on time and the program of the day began with introductions and a presentation of the vision and mission of WFWP by Dr. Susan Kone, the President of WFWP Kenya. Then, a brief history of WFWP and its co-founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s, vision of establishing WFWP followed the introduction.

Then, the participants received a lecture from Mr. Albanus Mwololo on universal and family values which the audience all seemed to appreciate. During the discussion session, the participants all agreed to the fact that the families of today’s society are in crisis and there is a need to heal and cement family relationships. This may be possible through a new approach and mindset for a new beginning and fulfilled lives and thereby extending and contributing to peace in their communities.

There were 40 participants in total from various groups of the grassroots and they were very happy to have been invited to the seminar. After the event, there was networking and the participants all expressed their eagerness to participate in the future seminars to empower themselves and their families.
