WFWPI Webinar on Women Entrepreneurship and WFWPI 29th Anniversary Celebration

WFWPI hosted a webinar on “Women Entrepreneurship” on April 9 at 5 PM (KST), with over 190 people in attendance. This webinar introduced four women entrepreneurs who evaluated their ideas for a successful business and shared their best practices in the decision-making processes, that have contributed effectively to tackling the enormous diverse areas of responsibilities.

The webinar started with a welcoming address from the moderator, Mme. Marcia de Abreu, WFWP Regional Secretary-General of Europe. Mme. Elena Tanou, Vice-President of Top Kinisis Travel Public Ltd., also shared and said “Now in a world of opening borders, instantaneous communication and the unwavering demands of people exploring the globe, it's important to build on core strengths to achieve global integration and acquire most customers, especially by educating travelers and inspiring youth.”

Mme. Sirivimol Kitaphanich, Founder and Owner of Rai Ruen Rom Organic Farm, shared about the purpose of the farm, which is to raise awareness about the importance of organic farming for consumers as it is a method to support organic farmers.

Mme. Nailya Ziganshina, President of the All-Russian Organization “Muslim Women Union” said, “The world develops if business cooperation is growing, mutual understanding is strengthened, bridges of friendship between countries are built and women unite.”

Lastly, Mme. Megumi Hagiuda, Founder of Afrika Rose, shared her life experience as a young women entrepreneur working to support the Kenyan people by providing work opportunities, while also promoting beautiful Kenya-grown roses to Japanese people.

The audience shared how this was a knowledgeable and insightful webinar, with powerful and inspiring speeches.

Shortly after the webinar, WFWPI held a “WFWPI 29th Anniversary Celebration” with 120 WFWPI leaders and members in attendance via Zoom. The program opened with an Opening Remark from Mme. Julia H. Moon, WFWPI International President, as she congratulated and expressed her gratitude for the members and volunteers for their unchanging dedication, commitment and courage, to realize WFWPI's vision of creating one global family.

Dr. Sun Jin Moon, WFWPI Senior Vice President, also shared her congratulatory remarks from Hawaii.

Next, a special video was shown with congratulatory messages from WFWPI leaders and members all across the globe! The video was followed by an interactive WFWP quiz, filled with questions about the history and facts of WFWP. Lastly, the participants were divided into more intimate groups, to have a chance to meet with other global colleagues and to be able to congratulate them directly for their investment in WFWP.
