Welcoming New Ambassadors for Peace (WFWP Burkina Faso)

On July 3, 2021, WFWP Burkina Faso, organized an orientation program for women Ambassadors for Peace. An estimated 410 participants were present at this memorable orientation, in which the history of WFWP and the principles of Ambassadors for Peace were presented.

Ambassadors for Peace launched in 2001 and is the largest and most diverse network of peace leaders. As of 2021, there are more than 100,000 Ambassadors for Peace from 160 countries who come from all walks of life representing many races, religions, nationalities, and cultures, and commit to:
-Stand on the common ground of universal moral principles, promoting reconciliation, overcoming barriers and building peace.
-Form a global network representing the diversity of the human family and all disciplines of endeavor.
-Promote cooperation beyond boundaries of religion, race, ethnicity, and nationality.
-Practice “living for the sake of others” as the guiding principle for building a global community.


Ambassadors for Peace and their guests arrived starting at 8:30 a.m. The orientation began promptly at 9 a.m. Mrs. Libo Aguita, former President of WFWP Burkina Faso, spoke on the detailed history of WFWP activities in Burkina Faso. Next, Mrs. Kabore Aimée, President of WFWP Burkina, presented a lecture on the “Mother’s Heart Peace Network,” an initiative to network and celebrate mothers’ embracing nature that contributes to creating peaceful and loving families, communities and the world.
Mrs. Ouedraogo Salamata, Human Rights Activist and Ambassador for Peace, spoke on the topic “Woman and Promotion of the Culture of Heart.” Mrs. Salamata shared how heart-centered leadership is the key to peace.


The final speaker was Mrs. Sou Jacqueline, who shared passionately about the Mother of Peace, which is the memoir of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of WFWPI. Jacqueline focused on the theme: “The Mother Builds The Family, The Family Builds The World,” to promote women’s essential role in creating a peaceful world.
The 2nd and final part of the program was the nomination of the new Ambassadors for Peace. Mr. Libo Joseph, the representative of Universal Peace Federation (UPF), gave a presentation on the five universal principles of Ambassadors for Peace. By the end of the event, 122 women were newly nominated as Ambassadors for Peace.
