"Africa is the mother of humanity and this word means 'Light'." - Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Founder of WFWPI, during her recent visit to Senegal

WFWP Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) held a conference on March 8, 2018 in the Synodal Hall of the Evangelical Church of the Congo on the occasion of the UN's International Women's Day with the theme: "Investing in the Productive Power of Rural Women: The Absolute Sexual Ethics for Peace and Justice in DR Congo."

There were 528 registered participants, including 100 students. The program included a presentation on WFWP, its founder and activities worldwide and in the DRC, and beautiful performances by the Kilombo Church of the CEC and students of two schools.

WFWP DRC broadcast the event on the radio, inspiring people from the mayor's office and a prosecutor of the republic to join the event, as well as members of several churches, schools, neighborhoods.

Several high-level leaders attended and participated in the program. The Attorney General of the Luozi Court of Appeal introduced the delegations, the Deputy Administrator of the Ministry of Finance gave opening remarks, DRC's Head of Gender, Families and Children and the president of Luozi Women's Organizations shared some words.

Following these opening remarks, MNA Anastasie Ndombele, the provincial president of WFWP, gave a lecture on sexual ethics as the way to bring peace and justice in DRC. She talked about the dangers of free sex, emphasizing how it creates a school of hate and a starting point for the "low producer of society." She went on to say, however, that a life of abstinence before marriage and fidelity in the couple creates a school of love and the starting point for a productive society.

Two days after the event, a delegation from WFWP DRC went to a general hospital to give gifts to children born during the month of March and the first born on March 8, the daughter of an evangelist of the CEC.

WFWP DRC was very proud to hold this level of conference for the first time and hailed it is a great success.
