Women Peace Ambassadors Training (WFWP Burkina Faso)

WFWP Burkina Faso organized a training program for women peace ambassadors which took place in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso with a total of 100 attendees on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Four main speakers spoke during this training. Different themes were developed: 1st theme: “The true mother of humanity, the mother of the universe, mother of peace” by Mrs. Aimée Kabore the national President of WFWP Burkina Faso; 2nd theme: “the family, the cornerstone for peace in the world” by Mrs. Jacqueline Sou an active member of WFWP; and 3rd theme: “Peace in the world and the role of women” by Her Excellency Mrs. Ouedraogo Salamata, one of our peace ambassadors.

Mrs. Aimée Kabore took the time also to present some pictures of our implemented trees planting project activity sponsored by WFWPI and GFGI in order to make the women peace ambassadors feel concerned about climate change and get involved in this environmental awareness and call to action project now and as well in the future.

The women peace ambassadors learned a lot from this training program which was an interactive program. They had the opportunity to express themselves; They shared personal experiences and various contributions about things to carry out for bringing peace in Burkina Faso.

The hall was full of emotions; some were moved to tears, learning about the course of the Co-founder of WFPI, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, who invested his life for the sake of world peace. These Ambassadors of Peace promised to work with WFWP to contribute to peace in Burkina Faso, in Africa and in the world. They promised to take responsibility in their respective families by raising their families well to live for the sake of others in order to contribute to the achievement of peace.

At the end of the different sessions, Mrs. Aguita Libo, former President of WFWP Burkina presented the five universal principles of an Ambassador for Peace in Mooré (the local language). Then announced the nomination of new Ambassadors for peace. Eleven women were distinguished as Ambassadors for Peace that day. Food and drinks were shared with all the attendees and family pictures concluded this program.
