On June 7, 2022, Women’s Federation for World Peace Russia held a WFWP 30th Anniversary event in Moscow. It was a miracle that this event became possible in such a very difficult and painful situation that our region is going through now. But when we started contacting and inviting WFWP friends and partners, people were so grateful and willing to come. We could realize how important this is to always care for and support each other even in challenging times.

Almost all the close partners of WFWP could manage to come and join the anniversary event held at the Moscow Peace Embassy. At first, we thought that It would be a local Moscow-level event. But a few days before the event, people started calling, asking to make online participation from other cities and countries possible. Finally, many people from all over the world could also join the event through Zoom or YouTube.

Many participants expressed their sincere gratitude for organizing this event because it gave them the possibility to feel that we are together despite all the difficulties our region and the whole world are going through now. Many NGO leaders expressed their gratitude to WFWP for the long-term partnership and cooperation. This was also a chance for WFWP to express deep gratitude to many wonderful partners who have been working hand in hand and heart to heart with WFWP for many years.

The event was also interreligious. They were participants representing Christianity, Islam and Judaism. All the guests were deeply moved by the warm loving greetings from America, Canada, Austria, Africa and Czech Republic. The participants of the event expressed their strong determination to keep investing their hearts and energy into promoting peace, true moral values, family values and creating a better society and the world.

The cultural part of the event was very moving. It was meaningful that most of the songs sung during the performance were about world peace.

WFWP has received many positive reflections and words of gratitude from the participants.
Here are some words of one professor who came to the WFWP event for the first time:
“I have to say, your overall performance and the results of the work of the organization are very impressive.”

The Parents’ organizations were also moved and published this special message on their social media: “After entering the conference hall I found myself in a very special atmosphere of love and kindness. The event was attended by wonderful women and each of them was worth writing a book about them and not only one book because for many years those women had been dedicating their lives to actions of goodness and living for the sake of others caring for elderly people, children in need and those who needed their help most.”
WFWP of Russia would like to express its deepest gratitude to the WFWP International and to all the WFWP chapters for all their care, support and for their beautiful example of dedication and love to the world.
