WFWP, International Launches International Association of First Ladies for Peace

On February 5, WFWP, International hosted the Inaugural Session of the International Association of First Ladies for Peace in South Korea. First ladies from around the world joined International President, Julia Moon and International Senior Vice President, Dr. Sun Jin Moon for the event. 

In the opening remarks,  Julia Moon spoke about the goals for the event and the association.

“The goal is to go beyond the home and use the characteristics of maternal love and work together to become a world of reconciliation and peace,” she said. "We can gain hope by listening to each other, and together, build a more bright and clear vision for a sustainable culture of peace.”

First Lady of Palau, Debbie Remengesau was also in attendance and spoke about how, "we need to work with women's values ​​and work together to find solutions to all problems that threaten our homes and nations.”

She also mentioned that in order to create a peaceful society, we need to be able to create solutions for practical problems.

"As women and global citizens, we are all one,” she said. “Let's build a strong relationship and partnership for the future of us and our children through the launch of the First Lady Union.”
