Solar panels installation at the health center in the village of Kobala Coura

On May 25, 2023, WFWP Mali carried out its solar panels installation activity at the health center in the village of Kobala Coura. Mamadou Zan Samaké, the representative of the village chief, the staff of the health center, Ms. Aminata Samakére, President of the women's association and several other women were present.

Mr. Mamadou Zan Samaké welcomed WFWP and gave us the floor. WFWP explained the objectives of the organization and also gave an explanation of WFWPI's Giving for Good International project, which financed WFWP Mali’s solar panels project. WFWP then presented the health center representatives with the solar panels to be installed in the center.

The panels were received with joy and gratitude. Mr. Mamadou Zan Samaké remarked, “We thank WFWPI’s Giving For Good for this gift which goes straight to our hearts. We are very grateful and we will take care of this precious gift.” Ms. Aminata Samaké shared, “WFWP Mali does not only come to visit us but they seek to know our problems and bring us the solution. We are grateful. Now our women who give birth will no longer have to use torches to go to the toilet.” Dr. Joël Dembelé said, “We, the health center staff are the happiest because we were concerned about this light problem. We thank WFWPI through the Giving for Good International project for their generosity. We will take good care of this precious gift.” Finally, Mr. Diakaridia Doumbia, the youth president remarked, “We are grateful to the GFGI project. We want our youth educated by WFWP Mali.”

Following these words, the technician proceeded to install the solar panels.
