Russian People Will Always Love Ukrainian Culture

On February 19, 2023, the children’s dancing and singing ensemble, “Angels of Peace” created by the Women’s Federation of World Peace Russia (WFWP Russia) was invited to perform at a concert of a talented Ukrainian-Russian family that took place in one of the very famous concert halls in the center of Moscow. This family became the winner of the Intercultural and Interreligious Family Festival called “Family World” in 2013 and also received an award as a family of high moral values at the International Family contest that was held online in 2021.

Since 2013, this unique model family has been taking part in many WFWP charity and peace-making programs. In 2014, on the invitation of WFWP, they went with the Angels of Peace ensemble to Belarus and received an Ambassadors for Peace Award at a Bridge of Peace program between Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This is a three generational family — the grandmother is a poet and her children and grandchildren are talented professional singers that present the beauty and harmony of Ukrainian and Russian culture in a very beautiful way. Besides singing songs in Ukrainian and Russian, this family sings in 15 different languages.

This family also supports WFWP charity programs for children. Last time they brought many boxes of mandarins and sweets for more than 100 children of different nationalities who took part in the WFWP Intercultural Festival “Children Are Angels of Peace.”

It was very precious to see that the big concert hall in the center of Moscow was full and the audience was so happy and grateful to hear both Ukrainian and Russian songs. Many people were singing along and were moved to tears. Russian people will always love Ukrainian culture. All people in Russia are so worried about the situation in Ukraine and this concert allowed the participants of the event to feel more hope for the common peaceful future of the two sister nations.

Angels of Peace have been performing at their concerts for 10 years. This time already the third generation of Angels of Peace could become part of the concert. The main guidance that children receive at their dancing and singing lessons is that they are practicing and working hard not for the sake of their own glory and not for the sake of receiving any awards but for the sake of world peace and with a goal to bring hope and to convey God’s love to people.

Many of the participants of the ensemble are half Russian, half Ukrainian. For them, it is very natural to love both cultures.
