Innovation, Sustainability, City of Women: Society, Climate and the Environment (WFWP Italy)

Elisabetta Nistri, President of WFWP Italy, was invited to give a speech at the conference organized by Isa Maggi, President of the Italian Organization-General States of Women. The purpose of the conference was to report about the two Resolutions that WFWPI had presented recently at the UN. It was a day-long event with the participation of many professionals who gave their support with ideas, examples and best practices on how to realize a better society for all, starting from the respect of women’s rights, paying attention to the need of the environment and of youth.

A particularly interesting topic was the proposal by the General States of Women, about a special project proposing pink helmets to be placed next to the UN Blue Helmets in the conflict zone areas such as Afghanistan, so that local women can refer to those, and relate with other women to receive support and protection.
