Clean Up Australia Day (WFWP Australia)

WFWP Victoria partnered with local business groups in Belgrave and Clean Up Australia Ltd. (a non-profit Australian environmental conservation organization) to participate in cleaning up the local area in Belgrave.

Held on Sunday, March 14, over 30 volunteers participated in the event by collecting garbage that had accumulated in the main hub of Belgrave. WFWP Victoria in its mission to work with the community to create a better world for all decided to collaborate with local community groups, including the Shire of Yarra Ranges, to clean up the environment in order to create a cleaner and safer community and to contribute to the sustainability of the environment in which we live.

The event attracted a range of volunteers from different age groups including some young children. This was a wonderful opportunity to encourage the participation of all generations and to highlight the responsibilities we have to look after our environment.

After over 50 bags of waste were collected from the surrounding areas, the volunteers were provided with a Certificate of Participation to acknowledge their efforts and to affirm the contributions they had made to care for their environment.
