Announcement of Selected Funding Projects

On behalf of Dr. Julia Moon, International President of WFWP, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those national WFWP chapters who prepared and submitted applications for funding through the recent WFWPI Funding Project. A total of thirty-five applications were submitted representing thirty-four nations in ten regions (See Appendix 1). The applications supported the following themes: Women’s Empowerment (8); True Family (3); Youth Leadership (14); Environment (9); and Peace & Security (1).

We are delighted to announce the 15 recipients of the Funding Project 2022:

  1. Afghanistan - WFWP Afghanistan Cultural Center Library

  2. Argentina - “Guardianes del Ambiente": Sustainable development for women and improving legacy to young generations

  3. Australia - GWPN Assembly and mentoring program

  4. Brazil - Heavenly Community Heavenly Environment

  5. Burkina Faso - The Girl Child Empowerment Project in Burkina Faso

  6. Cote d’Ivoire - Autonomous women for peace

  7. DR Congo - Management of household waste through the distribution of plastic bags in five quarters of the commune of Ngaliema

  8. Haiti - Sewing class for vocational training

  9. Honduras - Old clothes stay home *

  10. Kenya - Green Solar Energy for the African Villages Phase 3

  11. Malaysia - “Give Me a Chance” Youth Empowerment Programme

  12. South Africa - Mmangwane (Mother of the Child) - Mobile Library

  13. Taiwan - 2022 Empowerment for Young Women Leadership on International Participation ~ Become international leaders by educating and empowering young women

  14. Thailand - Youth Leadership: Volunteering Spirit in Youth *

  15. UN Geneva - Youth Peace Conference 2022 - Korean Peace Accord

The finalists were determined by an Evaluation Team, which included Dr. Paris Moon, Mrs. Su Youn Kim, Mrs. Katarina Connery, Ms. Chika Yasojima. Each application was evaluated in four areas: (1) cost-effective: 30 points; (2) feasibility: 30 points; (3) social impact: 30 points; and (4) originality: 10 points. The finalists were determined by the number of points they received.

We would like to express our appreciation to President Moon for her full support and for providing the funding through WFWPI HQ.

It is our hope that this is just the beginning, that WFWPI can establish a tradition of recognizing and supporting projects on an annual basis. This is a wonderful way to further develop WFWPI’s foundation, expand WFWPI’s impact, and influence the world by working together to strengthen the global family.

  • Honduras and Thailand will receive an applied amount which is less than US$ 2,000.00.
